Basic Qualifications
Multi-skilled in either electrical or mechanical disciplines.
Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
Experience fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems.
Experience in interpreting either mechanical or electrical drawings.
Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of high voltage switching.
Experience of sortation machines.
Experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.
Experience of print and apply machines.
Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.

Facilities Maintenance:
Oversee the routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of all building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, elevators, and fire suppression systems.
Ensure that equipment and facilities are in good working order and meet regulatory standards.
Manage a preventive maintenance program to minimize unplanned downtime and emergency repairs.
Supervision of Maintenance Staff:
Supervise a team of maintenance personnel, custodians, and vendors.
Assign and review tasks, ensure adherence to schedules, and monitor performance to maintain high standards.
Provide training and support for staff on safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and equipment use.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all safety regulations are met, including fire safety, emergency exits, and proper signage.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Respond to emergency situations (e.g., power outages, floods, fires) to minimize facility disruptions.
Project Management:
Coordinate renovation, repair, and upgrade projects to improve building efficiency or meet tenant/employee needs.
Ensure that construction or renovation projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety standards.
Liaise with contractors, architects, and engineers during major projects to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Manage relationships with external vendors, including those providing cleaning, security, landscaping, and repair services.
Negotiate contracts and ensure that vendor performance meets agreed-upon standards.
Review and approve invoices and monitor vendor expenses to stay within the facility’s budget.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
Prepare and manage the facilities budget, tracking expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
Ensure cost-effective purchasing of supplies and equipment.
Manage expenditures for unexpected repairs or upgrades while maintaining cost efficiency.
Emergency Response and Contingency Planning:
Develop and implement emergency response plans, including procedures for natural disasters, power outages, and other crises.
Ensure that all staff are trained on emergency procedures and that facilities are equipped with necessary emergency supplies.
Respond to emergency situations swiftly and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
