Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Applicants must already be located in the UAE
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in management
- Proficient in English
- A bachelor's degree in sports management, business administration, facility management, or a related field is often preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to fitness facilities.
- Ability to implement and enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures, and cleanliness standards.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management to ensure the facility operates within financial constraints.
- Experience with tracking expenses, revenue, and managing budgets.
- Familiarity with the fitness industry.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as gym floor, class area/studios, parking lots, and outdoor recreation spaces.
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs or renovations as needed.
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
- Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for the facility’s needs.
- Planning and coordinating all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity, etc.) and refurbishments.
- Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
- Reviewing utilities consumption and striving to minimize costs.
- Supervising gym maintenance staff and external contractors.
- Controlling activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.
- Handling insurance plans and service contracts.
