Job description

Exciting new opportunity for a well-experienced F & B or Restaurant Operation Manager. Our client operates a fast-growing shisha café in Dubai specializing in French and Mediterranean cuisine with a seating capacity of over 100. They are set to open a second café by the end of the year with similar capacity. To support this growth, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic F&B Director or Managing Director to oversee both locations and drive operational excellence.

The F&B Director/Managing Director will be responsible for the entire operation of both cafés including procurement, staff management, customer service, and reporting to the owners. This individual will play a pivotal role in scaling operations while maintaining high-quality service and ensuring efficient day-to-day management.

  • Oversee all aspects of operations for both the current café and the upcoming new location.
  • Manage the entire front and back-of-house teams ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Handle procurement including sourcing supplies, equipment, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Monitor and maintain food and beverage quality ensuring both locations meet the highest standards.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and development of café staff ensuring consistent service excellence.
  • Address and resolve customer escalations ensuring a positive and proactive approach to service recovery.
  • Develop operational strategies to drive growth, increase profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present operational and financial reports to the management and ownership providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and licensing requirements.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to drive promotional campaigns and events.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you need to meet the following:

  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the hospitality or F&B sector, preferably in Dubai.
  • Understanding/knowledge in the Dubai Municipality requirements for a restaurant/cafeteria operation.
  • Experience in managing multisite operations is essential.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
  • A solid understanding of procurement, inventory management, and operational efficiencies.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
  • Flexibility to work across both café locations and during peak service hours including weekends and public holidays.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
