A little taste of your day-to-day:

• Endeavour to resolve all complaints during shift and log all complaints in log book for further follow up.
• Ensure restaurant operating equipment is clean and in working order.
• Maintain impeccable uniform and personal presentation standards in accordance with hotel policy.
• Execute cash handling and banking procedures.
• Prepare daily banking and cash flow reports.
• Establish and instruct staff in cash security procedures.
• Supervise the maintenance of service equipment.
• Monitor standards of guest facilities and services.
• Greet guests appropriately at their room and provide service upon items ordered.
• Ensure prompt and efficient delivery of food and beverage to the guest's room.
• Serve orders if needed.
• Conduct regular training sessions with the team in line with the departmental SOPs and complete accurate reporting and training plans.
• Ensure that hot food is maintained and delivered hot and all cold items are delivered cold.
• Read and retain all pertinent information regarding daily promotions, food and beverage specials.
• May check back with guest to ensure they are enjoying their meal, and determine if they have any other needs.
• Perform duties of the room service in the absence of supervisor.
• Must be able to anticipate guest or operational needs.
• Ensure room service equipment is functioning properly; report any problems to the Room Service Manager.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with the Hotel Standards.
• Control stock and monitor security procedures.
• Supervise colleagues during shifts and functions.
• Perform any reasonable tasks as instructed by Manager.

What we need from you:

• Ideally, the incumbent should have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (specifically IRD) from a luxury property.
• Ability to work in a team and in different functions.
• Warm and inviting personality.
• Ability to think calmly under pressure.
• Willingness to learn open-mindedly.
• Passion for food and curiosity for something new.
• Basic organization skills in restaurant operation.
