Job Description
The Executive Housekeeper's responsibility is to oversee and manage the entire housekeeping and laundry functions of the resort, ensuring the department achieves the highest level of service delivery to the guests. Some of the key responsibilities include:
Plan manpower requirements to achieve efficient usage of labour considering business needs and seasonal trends.
Ensure daily/weekly/monthly/yearly duty roster is shared with the team based on business needs.
Prepare yearly budgets for housekeeping, laundry, and landscaping.
Remain fully accountable for revenue objectives.
Make recommendations to the Resort Manager or designate regarding the upkeep of furnishings, facilities, and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good repair as part of the Care programs.
Work with executive team colleagues across the hotel to ensure all guest requirements are met.
Set and review standards and ensure effective training to meet the standards.
Ensure that all public guest-facing areas (Anantara Dhigu Veli and Naladhu) on Gulhifushi island and back of house areas of the hotel are properly cleaned at all times.
Ensure health & safety requirements are adhered to.
Ensure that departmental SOPs/LSOPs are current, in effect, and available for all team members to use as reference; revise and update when necessary.
Ensure a full grip of entire housekeeping (arrival service, turndown, and deep cleaning of the villa).
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Minimum 3 to 4 years experience in a five-star luxury hotel/resort.
A friendly, outgoing demeanor, able to involve and support operations.
Self-motivated, a strong team player, and able to work under pressure.
Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently.
Strong decision-making abilities.
