Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead the Facilities Division at Atlantis, The Royal. The Executive Director will oversee the maintenance, safety, and efficient operation of all resort facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. The role involves managing a large team and working closely with senior leadership to ensure the smooth operation of the resort while adhering to safety standards and optimizing facility performance.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise the maintenance, repair, and operational functionality of the resort's physical buildings and mechanical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with preventative maintenance and energy management programs.
- Develop and implement quality control mechanisms for all facility operations, including engineering, electrical, and health and safety protocols.
- Oversee the preparation and management of the Facilities/Capital Investment budget, including monthly forecasting and financial reporting.
- Lead a team of senior managers, directors, and support staff, ensuring optimal performance through training, development, and recognition programs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to propose innovative solutions for improving facility operations and reducing costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, constantly striving for improvement in safety practices.
- Implement strategic initiatives to enhance the efficiency and performance of the Facilities Division.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across various departments, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
- Lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and monitor industry trends to drive improvements in operations.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in facilities management within large resorts or hospitality complexes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a large, multi-disciplinary team.
- Proven track record in project management, budget control, and financial planning.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and improve operational efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Level of Education:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Work Hours:
Full-time, flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
Experience in Months:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a large resort or hospitality environment.
