Executive Director, Clinical Engineering

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates equipment purchases, evaluates service contracts and manages preventative maintenance and repair programs
• Manages assigned personnel, including recruitment, scheduling and performance management
• Maintains a current understanding of all key regulatory requirements for clinical and administrative IT systems
• Implements performance improvement activities as appropriate
• Interprets and ensures compliance with all appropriate codes and standards
• Implements short and long-term goals consistent with CCADs vision and strategy
• Serves as a representative for clinical engineering throughout CCAD and the national clinical engineering community

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems, or related field, is required - Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems, or related field, is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 15 years clinical or biomedical engineering experience is required
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong project management and analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to speak and write in English is required
• Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred

Job Specific Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Fluency in written and spoken English
