Job Description

Main Accountabilities:

  • To be an Executive Assistant to SLT and perform all necessary tasks requested by SLT.
  • Undertake a full range of secretarial and administrative duties for the SLT and ensure the efficient and effective running of their daily business.
  • Assist SLT in organising their administrative workload, liaising with SLT regarding the events of the day and following up resultant actions.
  • Assemble and prepare papers required by the SLT to attend meetings, prepare reports, or reply to requests for information.
  • Arrange a variety of weekly meetings and when required, take accurate notes. Ensure that matters arising from meetings are dealt with by the appropriate people within agreed timelines.
  • Draft correspondence and other documentation.
  • Support SLT in the organisation and detailed planning of special events, such as parent/teacher meetings.
  • Oversight of the ECAs process for the Whole School.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regard to issues concerning members of staff and pupils. Respond positively with tact, sensitivity and awareness to pupils and parents in relation to duties undertaken.
  • Undertake word processing, electronic communication, filing, photocopying work and take accurate minutes of meetings as required.
  • Comply with all school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding and child protection, equality and diversity, health and safety, behaviour and data protection, reporting concerns to the Heads of School or Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Support/provide Reception Cover as required.

Professional Requirements:

  • Be well organized with excellent customer service skills. A sound knowledge of the school and the curriculum on offer is an asset.
  • Exhibit exemplary written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrate competence in computer technical skills using Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and other related programs/software for educational and business office use.
  • Hold excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to aid in daily contact with a diverse population.
  • Demonstrate skills in forward thinking and be able to anticipate and prioritise work, including managing their own time.
  • Have the ability to multi-task and work creatively, independently.
