Event Manager

Events are a crucial part of the Company's identity. We're looking for a skilled event manager to plan dynamic and engaging events to drive new business and strengthen our organization's unique culture. The ideal candidate is meticulous and organized, able to coordinate multiple moving parts under pressure and ensure that any last-minute changes or obstacles are handled with minimal disruption. Above all, they will bring a strong sense of our organization's needs and how events fit into our broader communications strategy.

Objectives of this role

1. Foster a fun and supportive organizational environment
2. Raise awareness of new products, drives, or initiatives through events
3. Develop strong ties to sponsors and customers
4. Drive new business with compelling events
5. Synthesize organizational messaging and identity
6. Encourage event participation across all sectors of the organization

Responsibilities

1. Plan and execute events for internal and external purposes
2. Keep event plans under budget and on schedule
3. Reach out to potential sponsors and collaborators
4. Advertise events through multiple channels
5. Maintain accurate records of all expenditures
6. Ensure events are carried out successfully

Skills and Qualifications

1. Strong organizational and management skills
2. Self-starter attitude
3. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
4. Ability to plan and execute projects with many moving parts
5. Exceptional leadership and communication skills
6. Experience creating and adhering to a budget

Preferred Qualifications

1. Familiarity with event management software like Whova or Monday
2. Creativity in crafting internal and external events
3. Demonstrated understanding of attendees' needs
4. Willingness to delegate tasks and organize a team
5. Ability to communicate and negotiate with external vendors and service providers
6. Familiarity with event trends and developments
