Job description

Al Tayer events is a part of Al Tayer Travel, a subsidiary of the renowned Al Tayer Group. We are looking for a competent Events Coordinator/Executive to oversee and organize events that we run on behalf of our corporate clients. The ideal candidate should have an events agency background in Dubai, dealing with clients from different sectors and industries, and handling projects from start to execution. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have experience in handling events within the UAE and outside, including venue and hotel sourcing, ground services, engagement ideas, and working along with the creative team on event concept, design, production, audio-visuals, and tech solutions.

An Events Coordinator/Executive is, above all, a project manager who should be good with people, understand the client's requirements, have an eye for detail, and possess a flexible mindset to accept challenges, step out of their comfort zone, and be creative.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage clients and attend to their requirements, including receiving and analyzing event briefs, working on proposals, and event preparation and execution.
  • Understand the client's needs and submit tailor-made solutions according to the requirements and budget.
  • Develop new business opportunities by expanding within existing clients and acquiring new clients.
  • Come up with suggestions and ideas to enhance the client's experience.
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
  • Analyze the event's success and prepare reports, including financial reports and file closure.

Skills and Experience:

  • Positive attitude throughout! You should have the ability to learn, try new things, and accept feedback.
  • Creativity and the ability to come up with new ideas.
  • A knack for problem-solving.
  • Proven experience as an Events Executive/Manager in an events or creative agency. Candidates with experience working in hotel events teams may also apply. 2-3 years of experience for Events Executive and 3-5 years for Events Manager.
  • It's a people industry, so you should be good at dealing with people, including colleagues, suppliers, and clients.
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office (mostly Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • A knack for problem-solving.
  • Customer-service orientation.
  • A team player with leadership skills.
  • BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
