Estimation Engineer

The Estimation Engineer needs to have an engineering background and will be trained to attend site visits, collate inputs, develop solutions, and liaise with specialist sub-contractors on quotations as required. In addition, the Estimation Engineer will also support the Bid Department in creating bid-related documents, presentations, and other activities as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend site visits and support with compiling inputs to provide a bespoke solution for the customer.
• Extract BOQ from MEP asset register and work on manpower calculation sheet in standard template and/or based on technical expertise.
• Prepare mobilization plans, organization charts, and schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement to get quotations on time and support negotiation with suppliers as per benchmark budget.
• Responsible for updating the department folder once the bid is submitted and keeping a record of all changes during post-tender clarifications.
• Support the bid team with the production of coherent proposal documents.
• Create client presentations outlining the solution.
• Coordinate clarification responses, liaising with the relevant stakeholders to respond to client enquiries.
• Deliver key milestones for tender technical & commercial deadlines.
• Support market study and identify innovative solutions to improve bids.
• Monitor department activity and keep track of all solutions submitted.
• Lead the team in identifying and quantifying risk and opportunity in the business.

Qualification

• Must have a technical qualification in Electrical/Mechanical, preferably an Engineering degree.
• Must have basic knowledge of hard and soft services and solutions.

Experience

• Must have 2 to 3 years of experience working on Estimation / Quantity take-off in the Facility Management Industry.
• 1-2 years of FM Operational experience is mandatory.

Other Requirement

• Valid UAE driving license with own vehicle is mandatory.
