Estimation Engineer

Purpose of this role is a primary ELV technical solution crafter for clients in ARC.

1. Translates customer requirements, drawings, and specifications to create the lowest achievable cost estimate.
2. Records all assumptions, exclusions, and specification deviations for inclusion within the proposal.
3. Reviews the scope clearly and prepares highly professional technical and commercial proposals suitable economically and technically.
4. Finds new vendors/principles in the ELV industry market and incorporates them into proposals.
5. Assists the sales team in understanding and assessing customer requirements.
6. Selects the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services that deliver the highest value to the customer while supporting overall business objectives.
7. Supports Project Managers, when requested, in the calculation of costs and sell prices for project Change Orders.
8. Completes all proposal work according to the employer's professional standards, including technical scope, commercial estimates, deliverables, schedules, terms and conditions, and other variables to meet customer requests and expectations.
9. Designs jobs for the purpose of providing sales estimates, which consist of value engineering and design development to a level that enables robust product, labor, and sub-contractor estimation.
10. Ensures the use of the most current standard library of designs to keep the cost of delivery as low as possible.
11. Documents assumptions, exclusions, and specification deviations for inclusion within the proposal.
12. Manages client POC initiatives.
13. Involves appropriate resources in the setup and delivery of POC, Submittals, and Design drawings.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Computer Engineering, preferably in IT/Electronics and Communication.

Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the IT industry.

Certifications

• Must be MCC certified and Sira Certified.

Knowledge & Skills

• Broad knowledge integrated with strong ELV technology: Structured cabling, SMATV, Access Control, Intercom system, CCTV, IPTV, GRMS, Lighting control, Public Address & Audio Visual.
• Ability to multi-task and produce desired results in a deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel within the ME region to meet customers and clarify proposals and engineering.
• Willingness to learn new subjects and assist the team in completing any given task.
• Team player.
• Good analytical skills and consulting capabilities.
• Driving License is a must.
