ERP Senior Specialist- Technical

Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft D365 Technical Consultant to develop, customize, and optimize D365 Finance and Operations (F&O) solutions. You will be responsible for system development, integrations, security configurations, and performance enhancements to ensure seamless business operations. Working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders, you will implement technical solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.

Key Accountabilities

Development and Customization

1. Develop, test, and deploy D365 F&O customizations using X++, .NET, and C#.
2. Design and enhance SSRS reports to meet business reporting requirements.
3. Configure security roles, duties, and privileges to ensure compliance with business processes.
4. Optimize system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
5. Develop workflows and extensions to enhance system capabilities.
6. Implement customizations using Microsoft’s best practices to maintain upgradability.
7. Create and modify Data Entities for custom and standard functionalities.
8. Develop and manage Business Events for automation and system notifications.
9. Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and security customizations to enhance data protection.

Integration and Data Management

1. Integrate external systems with D365 F&O using SOAP, REST, OData, and custom APIs.
2. Perform data migration and ensure seamless data flow across platforms.
3. Work with Microsoft Life Cycle Services (LCS) for system deployment and maintenance.
4. Implement Azure integrations using Logic Apps, Data Factory, and Event Grid.
5. Configure and maintain batch processing and automation in D365 F&O.
6. Develop and optimize dual-write integrations between D365 F&O and Dataverse.
7. Implement and maintain data import/export frameworks (DIXF) for efficient data transfers.

Technical Support and Collaboration

1. Provide technical support to internal stakeholders, troubleshooting system issues.
2. Work with external partners and Microsoft support to resolve complex challenges.
3. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and deployment processes.
4. Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
5. Perform debugging and performance analysis using Trace Parser and LCS monitoring tools.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

1. Stay updated on the latest D365 F&O features and best practices.
2. Follow Agile development methodologies (SCRUM) and leverage Azure DevOps for project management.
3. Ensure technical implementations comply with security and regulatory requirements.
4. Conduct system performance tuning and database optimization.
5. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and version control.
6. Enhance reporting capabilities by integrating SSRS with Power BI and Excel-based reporting tools.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O development & customization.
3. Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate preferred.
4. Industry Experience: Experience in media or retail industries is a plus.
5. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in X++, C#, .NET, SQL, and SSRS.
• Experience integrating APIs and using Postman for testing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps) and Azure DevOps.
• Experience in Entity Framework, Azure Functions, and SQL Server tuning.
• Strong understanding of D365 F&O data structures and entity relationships.
• Expertise in developing and deploying ISV solutions within D365 F&O.
• Experience in developing Electronic Reporting (ER) configurations for business document automation.
• Familiarity with event-driven programming and messaging services like Azure Service Bus.
• Strong understanding of Data Management Framework (DMF) for large-scale data operations.
• Experience in extending standard D365 functionalities using Chain of Command (CoC) and Event Handlers.
