Equity Long/Short Analyst (US Tech/TMT)

We have partnered with a recently launched, fast-growing multi-strategy hedge fund looking to hire a Long/Short Equity Analyst (US Tech/TMT) to work alongside an experienced Portfolio Manager running a market neutral strategy.

This fund has rapidly expanded and fosters a strong culture, backed by a world-class investment team. The Portfolio Manager this hire will report into has a proven multi-year track record, having previously managed a $400m book at a Tier-1 Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund before relocating to Dubai to join this firm.

The strategy primarily focuses on US Tech, with additional exposure to US TMT and Financials. This role presents an opportunity to gain direct mentorship from a highly experienced PM, contributing to an intellectually rigorous investment process. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research and financial analysis on US Tech names, identifying both long and short investment opportunities.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models, forecasting earnings, cash flows, and key industry trends.
• Assist in risk management by monitoring portfolio exposures, position sizing, and sector risks.
• Generate and present investment theses supported by rigorous financial and qualitative analysis.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and technological developments impacting the sector.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in Equity Research (buy-side or sell-side).
• A background as a US Tech generalist is preferred though the PM will also consider US Software specialists or US TMT generalists.
• Additional experience covering US Financials/Banks is a plus but not required.
• Strong track record of generating long and short investment ideas within US Tech or TMT.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and company/industry analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate investment ideas clearly.
• Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced investment environment.
