Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and oversee the management of all operational, HSE audits, and training activities.
  2. Review and endorse all HSE inputs on tender documents for all projects.
  3. Establish and implement short and long-term HSE goals and objectives for Operational, HSE training, and audits.
  4. Coordinate with the departments to set Company’s HSE targets and objectives.
  5. Review and update HSEMS / EMS manuals to ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local & international HSE legislations.
  6. Prepare a budget for HSE Operations and HSE training & audit and monitor the expenditures to remain within the allocated budget.
  7. Ensure that Corporate HSEMS / ISM / EMS (ISO 14001) and ISO 45001 audits are conducted.
  8. Ensure regular audits and inspections of subcontractor’s personnel, sites, and activities.
  9. Lead the conduction of Behavioral Safety Audits (BSA) and high-profile tours as per HSEMS guidelines.
  10. Problem-Solving: Being proactive in identifying environmental issues and creating practical solutions.
  11. Knowledge of Environmental Technologies: Familiarity with green technologies, energy efficiency systems, and eco-friendly practices.
  12. Health and Safety Standards: Understanding how environmental concerns relate to workplace safety and employee well-being.

Minimum Requirement:

  1. Minimum 12 years of related work experience in similar industries.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Science or equivalent.
  3. Diploma in Safety Management (DipSM) and/or NEBOSH/IOSH diploma or equivalent.
  4. NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA / OSHAD or equivalent.
  5. Certification in HSE audit is preferable.

Desired Candidate Profile
  1. Environmental Regulations and Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of environmental laws, policies, and regulations at local, state, and federal levels (e.g., EPA standards in the U.S., or EU regulations).
  2. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): Ability to evaluate the environmental impact of projects and propose strategies to mitigate negative effects.
  3. Sustainability Practices: Knowledge of sustainability initiatives, renewable energy, waste management, and resource conservation strategies.
  4. Risk Management: The ability to assess environmental risks and create plans to address them effectively.
  5. Data Analysis: Skills in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting environmental data (e.g., air quality, water quality, noise levels, etc.) and preparing reports.
  6. Project Management: Ability to manage environmental projects, ensuring that environmental considerations are integrated into planning, design, and execution.
  7. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders, educating staff, and raising awareness about environmental policies.
