As an Entertainment Technical Technician, you are an essential member of the entertainment team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various events, shows, and entertainment experiences within a theme park. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and troubleshooting technical equipment and systems related to entertainment offerings, including audio, video, lighting, special effects, animatronics, and digital signage and any other show/entertainment experience equipment as required. Reporting to the shift lead, either a Team Leader or Senior Technician, you will work closely with performers, stage managers, and other technical staff to deliver memorable and immersive experiences for park guests while adhering to safety standards and operational protocols.
The job scope includes:
Technical Support:
Take an active role in setting up, operating, and maintaining audio, video, lighting equipment, and technical operations.
Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time, ensuring minimal disruption to live shows & events and the daily operation.
Alone or as part of a team, you will support production teams and event sales teams to meet technical requirements and ensure smooth operations of shows and events and the daily running of the parks.
Quality Assurance:
Follow best practices for equipment setup, operation, and safety while adhering to the business's safety requirements.
Conduct quality checks as required by the Maintenance Management System to maintain high standards of maintenance and operation and report any issues in a timely fashion.
Reporting:
Report any issues that occur in a timely fashion to the shift supervisor.
Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the Entertainment technical team, supporting and guiding each other along with new team members.
To be considered for this role:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience working with audio, video, lighting, and special effects equipment in a live entertainment or event production environment.
Technical maintenance & troubleshooting.
Show, event, and entertainment experience support.
Safety compliant.
Technical training or certification in Audiovisual Technology, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure.
