ADNOC Schools is currently seeking high-performing English Teachers for January 2025 start. The current vacancy is based in ADNOC School, Sas Al Nakhl, Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities:
- Creating a climate for learning that is conducive for outstanding practice
- Identifying clear teaching and learning objectives
- Setting tasks that challenge students and ensure high levels of interest
- Setting appropriate and demanding expectations
- Setting clear targets, building on prior attainment
- Identifying SEN or very able students and ensuring that their needs are met through differentiation
- Providing clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation, and challenge
- Making effective use of assessment for learning
- Making effective use of performance data and key indicators to inform planning and therefore deliver differentiated lessons
- Maintaining discipline in accordance with the school's Behaviour for Learning Policy and encouraging good practice with regard to punctuality, behavior, standards of work, and homework
- Using a variety of teaching strategies
- Assessing how well learning objectives have been achieved and using them to improve specific aspects of teaching
- Marking students' work at least once every two weeks and setting targets for progress
- Using performance data to inform planning and ensuring the Learning and Teaching continue to add value
- Assessing and recording students' progress systematically and keeping records to check work is understood and completed, monitor strengths and areas for development, inform planning and recognize the level at which the student is achieving
- Preparing and presenting informative reports to parents
- Taking part in subject development by producing, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
- Keeping subject knowledge up-to-date through CPD and professional reading
- Attending professional development workshops as appropriate
- Undertaking additional duties as required by the Principal or Vice Principal as appropriate
Minimum Requirements:
- Fully qualified teacher with a Bachelor's in English or a related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in the related field
- Passionate and caring educators
- Commitment to an extensive enrichment program
- Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities
- Respect for all members of the school community
- Experience with students for whom English is an additional language
- Positive and solution-focused attitude to working life
- Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
