English Teacher

The English Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective English language instruction to students in accordance with the UAE's educational standards and curriculum frameworks. This role involves developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The teacher is expected to promote literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills while adhering to local education authority guidelines.

Responsibilities:

1. Planning and delivering structured English lessons tailored to students' age, level, and curriculum requirements.
2. Creating a classroom environment that encourages active learning, participation, and student engagement.
3. Assessing and tracking student progress through quizzes, assignments, and formal examinations.
4. Preparing students for standardized tests, internal assessments, and external exams where applicable.
5. Differentiating instruction to accommodate students with varying learning needs and English proficiency levels.
6. Participating in curriculum development, extracurricular activities, and school-wide initiatives.
7. Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, and behavioral development.
8. Collaborating with parents, school counselors, and academic coordinators to support individual student growth.
9. Ensuring compliance with the UAE Ministry of Education or relevant education authority standards and policies.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field; a teaching qualification such as PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent is required.
2. Minimum of 2-4 years of teaching experience, preferably within the UAE or an international school setting.
3. Familiarity with British, American, or UAE Ministry of Education curricula.
4. Excellent command of written and spoken English.
5. Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and instructional skills.
6. Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning platforms.
7. Culturally aware and able to work effectively in a diverse school community.
8. Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.
