Due to the continued growth of our GEMS Founders Masdar City, in Abu Dhabi we are looking to recruit an English Teacher for August 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT to gain valuable international exposure, or for more experienced teachers to take the next step in their career with a global leading company and within a world-class International School located in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
We are British Schools Overseas (BSO) accredited, gaining Outstanding judgements in all standards, allowing us to offer the NQT, QTS and iPGCE programmes to our teachers through the TES Institute. GEMS Education will be visiting the UK (London & Manchester) in March 2025, giving our UK-based candidates the opportunity to interview in person for the next academic year (shortlisted overseas candidates will be offered online interviews).

Skills

Successful candidates will need to:

  1. Embody and role model our core values of Grow, Flourish & Achieve.
  2. Hold a Bachelor's degree in English or BEd with associated PGCE English.
  3. Have proven experience of teaching primary.
  4. Have the ability to share exemplary teaching practices.
  5. A creative and enthusiastic approach, both inside and outside the classroom.
  6. Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students, and parents.
  7. Have a proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching.
  8. Have aspiration to work in a world-class school with real prospects for enhancing their career.
  9. Be willing to make a positive contribution to our school community and culture through active engagement in our extra-curricular programme and community-based events.
