As the Engineering Supervisor at Radisson Beach Resort in Dubai, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our resort's infrastructure. You will support the Engineering Manager in overseeing the maintenance team, executing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your leadership and technical skills will contribute to maintaining high standards of functionality, safety, and guest satisfaction at our luxurious beach resort.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • To report punctually to duty and to be in proper department standard uniform.
  • To treat all customers and colleagues in a polite, courteous manner at all times. To also give full cooperation and assistance in a prompt, caring and helpful manner to both customer needs.
  • To be flexible in assisting in other departments of the hotel in response to the business and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Supervisor:
  • Support the Engineering Manager/Chief Engineer in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department.
  • Assist in managing and supervising a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and productive.
  • Coordinate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and address operational requirements promptly.
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the resort's infrastructure, identifying maintenance needs, and taking proactive measures to address them.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and implement appropriate measures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of engineering supplies, equipment, and spare parts to support maintenance activities efficiently.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team in troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions and technical issues.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services when necessary.
  • Monitor energy consumption and implement initiatives to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Assist in preparing departmental budgets, forecasts, and reports, and effectively manage expenses within budgetary constraints.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in engineering and maintenance, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor the LCS, BMS, and BTU system operation.
  • Follow up on quotations, quote comparisons, LPO, and material delivery with suppliers.
  • Create articles to raise PR with coordination of procurement.
  • Keep update files/folders in engineering department up to date.
  • Conduct training for team.
  • Follow up on DM and DCD required documents for hotels and outlets.
  • Follow up and coordinate with project team for DLP points.
  • Update monthly utility readings and bills of main meter and leased unit to Finance team.
  • Follow up on weekly, monthly, quarterly maintenance checklist and updating.
  • Follow up on OOO room maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate with FO, HK for PPM rooms.
  • Assist for leased unit for emergency maintenance requests.
  • Follow up on gate pass, work permit approvals.
  • Daily monitoring of water system chemical level in domestic water system and pool.
Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer:
  • Experience in property maintenance beneficial but not essential.
  • Hands-on approach with a can-do work style.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned.
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence.
  • Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms.
  • Strong communication skills.
