Engineering Supervisor

Job Description - MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervise and direct the daily activities of all Engineering Department Maintenance Manager/Supervisors and subordinates.
2. Observe activities to ensure adherence to policies and operating procedures.
3. Check completed repair and maintenance works to ensure that established standards have been met.
4. Responsible for maintaining fire, life, and safety systems with a high level of standard.
5. Monitor store stock and adherence to quality standards during the receiving of goods.
6. Responsible for data collection and analysis leading up to the preparation of the P&L and Capex budgets.
7. Handle grievances, suggestions, and complaints by colleagues and recommend appropriate action to the DOE.
8. Work on own initiative without full detailed supervision or direction.
9. Ensure all documentation used in the department is a controlled version with the correct issue date.
10. Perform other duties that management may reasonably require from time to time.
11. Control the energy management and control system of the hotel.
12. Responsible for the repair and maintenance of the engineering management systems and controls.
13. Provide technical assistance and guidance when the team requires.
14. Monitor the performance of external maintenance contractors.
15. Prepare project specifications, CAPEX, review of drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, material submittals, DM/DCD approved drawings, AS-built drawings, and Engineering projects.
16. Assist in the Central Plant Services Electrical HVAC/Water System/Mechanical, etc.
17. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, instructions, and applicable federal, state, and local codes; direct any rework or modification.

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar role with a five-star hotel.
Other: Computer skills and good communication skills. Knowledge of MS Office and Engineering operating systems.
