Job Description
Maintain all electrical equipment and all electrical control panels’ inaccurate function.
Prepare preventive maintenance schedule.
Maintain the cleanliness of all electrical panels, motors, electrical appliances, etc.
Distribute the work to subordinates according to capabilities to get the best results.
Ensure that the work done by subordinates is according to the specified standard.
Ensure that all related tools are in a safe place and in good working condition.
Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and maintain records for future reference.
Coordinate with other departments and ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress, creating healthy inter-department relationships.
Create opportunities for engineering employees to multitask and increase their skills and knowledge.
Maintain all kitchen and laundry equipment in good working order.
Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen and laundry equipment.
Maintain the performance of pumps and motors.
Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
Comply with the hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Allocate duties to the appropriate engineering staff/contractors with the guidance of the Chief Engineer.
Knowledge of the hotel’s BMS system.
Use an effective trouble reporting system.
Check the opening checklist is followed.
Take over from the previous shift.
Prepare the work order for the staff.
Conduct the shift briefing.
Conduct the training as per schedule.
Check the BMS regularly.
Conduct regular rounds in the plant room, boiler room, and chiller yard.
Follow up on pending jobs.
Check for material stock and order materials as needed.
Once the LPO is ready, follow up with suppliers and receive materials with proper documentation.
Coordinate with other departments for any engineering-related works.
Follow up on breakdown jobs.
Inspect the PPM work and ensure it is done as per standard.
Prioritize all works related to guests and complete the job ASAP.
Respond immediately to water flooding, fire alarms, gas alarms, and elevator issues.
Take care of all life and safety-related jobs like fire systems, gas alarms, generator systems, and UPS.
Carry out all DM requirement work and update the file daily.
Report safety hazards to the respective outlet/department.
Report any abuse to hotel property and utilities with a proper incident report to the respective leader.
Update the monthly check PPM file daily.
Conduct monthly safety checks of facilities.
Monitor utilities continuously.
Conduct public area walkthroughs every shift.
Follow up daily on HACCP and Planet 21 processes.
Perform guest room maintenance and inspections.
Attend to guest room complaints following SOP.
Maintain a daily shift log book for communication.
Record meter readings for reports.
Conduct energy conservation checks.
Manage function rooms as per Banquet Event Order/Event Shortlist.
Follow the preventative maintenance process flow and guidelines.
Complete safety incident/accident reports.
Manage workshop repairs.
Handle safety general work permits.
Manage safety for welding and cutting tasks.
Handle hazardous work safely.
Maintain the email box not exceeding 1500mb.
Prepare annual performance reviews for all technicians.
Other tasks as assigned.
