Job description

Wood are actively expanding our project delivery portfolio within the United Arab Emirates and as such are seeking additional experienced personnel for upcoming work.

One of the major projects we are seeking additional personnel for, is to manage the Design, Procurement, Construction Management, Commissioning Handover to Operations, for a portfolio of safety critical systems across multiple offshore assets.

The project is both very exciting and challenging, with a real focus on portfolio delivery to maximize efficiency and deliver the multiple project scopes safely with no impact on production. The project is due to commence in 2024 and has an estimated duration of three years, however this is a perfect opportunity for the right people to join the growing ‘Wood Team’ in the United Arab Emirates and forge long-lasting careers with great opportunities for growth and development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in engineering subject from an accredited university
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent with recognized professional body preferable

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil / gas offshore projects including at least five (5) years in similar position.

Role-Specific Skills:

  • Capable of representing Operations EMEA and client to business associates in a professional manner
  • Specific experience in Middle East for renowned clients, preferred.
  • Capable use of discipline software and proactively encourage development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain discipline and resolve conflict.
  • Able to demonstrate team building skills and capable of influencing people at all levels.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, conscientious, and keen to learn.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude.
