Responsible for supervising construction activities and field personnel related to the civil discipline.
Monitor daily construction details and daily progress in his area.
Maintain the highest quality standards while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities.
Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately.
Regularly participate in HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and daily jobsite walks and keep a meticulous record of these.
Prepare reports and forecasts relating to construction progress, job manpower forecasts, etc.
Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures and with the project objectives for safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and cost. Consult with Superintendent or Senior Construction Engineer to provide solutions to subcontractor’s problems in order to achieve the success of the project.
Responsible for the implementation of construction work processes, project procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.
Ensure that the material handed over to the Subcontractor is controlled, preserved, and issued for the intended purpose.
Ensure that the problems occurring on site for building construction activities are sorted out with the help of a supervisor.
Follow up with subcontractors to close punch items on time.
Provide inputs on lessons learned, constructability issues, and best practices in the Construction Observation Form.
Possess a realistic and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Engage in continuous learning on different types of equipment on the job with different stages of work coverage.
Collaborate with the Senior Engineer in daily tasks to understand, appreciate, and utilize the tasks assigned for gaining knowledge on construction methods.
Perform independent tasks in a gradual manner with exposure to subcontractor management, procedure development, and site activity progress monitoring.
Able to highlight and solve day-to-day issues in the assigned work areas.
Shall be able to generate ITR/Check sheets for construction.
Ensure modifications or changes made on site are issued for as-built updates.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
Good communication skills.
Ability to read AFC civil and structural drawings.
