Engineer Application operation (Offshore)

Role: Application Operation Engineer

Location: Offshore

Duration: 6 months (Extendable)

Key Accountabilities:

• Installed and configured IBM HTTP Server in both silent and GUI mode.
• Understanding of Operating system Patching.
• Expertise on OS patching from tool (SCCM and Red Hat Satellite).
• Application environment configurations: JVM, Clustering, profile creation, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, SIB, Security implementation, etc.
• Experience in configuring and implementing Work Load Management (WLM) using clustering techniques, including Horizontal and Vertical Clustering for failover and backup/recovery processes.
• SSL certificate management: Renewal, creation, installation of SSL certificates.
• Knowledge of various tools/implementations: MQ Client/Server, LDAP, DNS.
• Understanding of Business continuity, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Strong experience in configuration of JDBC Connections with Data sources and Multi Data source.
• Deployed WAR and EAR applications on Weblogic using various deployment tools (Console, weblogic.Deployer, and shell scripts).
• Experience in Apache webserver/ JBoss EWS (Apache Web Server) and mod jk configuration.
• Expertise in installation, configuration of Apache, Iplanet, and OHS as web servers.
• Good knowledge in configuration of Apache Tomcat on all platforms and clustering Tomcat instances by using mod_jk file.

Requirements:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Good communication skills to deliver all types of application BAU work.
