The Employee Relations Manager will be responsible for the delivery of efficient employee relation operations and support to various business areas within the group. Lead a team of advisors/partners on all employee relations matters across [Emirates/dnata]. Use internal and external insights to continuously measure and develop Employee Relations processes to ensure they are in line with company values and good practice standards.
In this role, you will:
Lead a team of Employee Relations Advisors/Partners responsible for guiding business leaders on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner that promotes positive employee relations.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Employee Relations unit and plan the short-medium term direction of the function in accordance with the broader HR strategy to ensure optimal customer service and productivity.
Develop and mentor employees through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes, build and maintain employee morale and motivation and ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
Manage complex Employee Relations cases that have been escalated or assigned based on case type or other guidelines. Act as a liaison with Group Legal to address cases that may result in potential legal action.
Maintain strong working relationships that include communication and collaboration with HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, and any other relevant teams to ensure the provision of a positive and proactive employee relations service.
Design and measure key performance indicators and design and maintain operational reports as appropriate. Drive continuous improvement and service delivery excellence within the HR functional area by ensuring a well-controlled environment through effective processes, workflow, and technology.
Forecast volumes and monitor handling of Employee Relations inquiries, and provide input into budget/resource needs.
Develop Employee Relations KPI's to monitor customer feedback, Operation efficiencies, team feedback.
Lead other specialist colleagues/teams within the Employee Relations Unit as appropriate (i.e. workforce management, HR Analytics & Reporting etc).
Qualifications & Experience: To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
8+ years of experience in Employee Relations and Human Resources.
Minimum Bachelor's level qualification in a related field.
Post graduate qualification in a HR specific field would be considered an asset.
Progressive experience in a HR role.
In depth knowledge of Employment Relations practice.
Customer focused with an understanding of how to design and manage services that reflect and deliver against a wide range of customer needs.
Ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels within an organisation.
Flexible approach to problem solving, balancing policy, best practice, legal and business issues to provide pragmatic solutions.
