Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to join our team, specializing in elevator and escalators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and upgrading of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspection & Maintenance:
   • Conduct routine inspections of elevators & escalators to ensure delivered services by his teams are up to company standards.
2. Troubleshooting & Repairs:
   • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in elevator systems.
   • Perform necessary repairs or coordinate with specialized technicians for advanced issues.
3. Compliance & Safety:
   • Ensure all equipment complies with local and international safety regulations and standards.
   • Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
   • Address safety concerns promptly to prevent accidents or downtime.
4. Technical Expertise:
   • Interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
   • Capable of installing and proposing upgrades/modernizations of components of elevators and escalators.
5. Customer Support:
   • Communicate with building owners, managers, and tenants to provide updates on maintenance activities and timelines.
   • Address customer complaints related to elevator performance promptly and professionally.
6. Team Coordination:
   • Work closely with other engineers and technicians to handle complex repairs.
   • Supervise subcontractors and ensure work is performed to high standards.
7. Emergency Response:
   • Be available for on-call support to address emergency breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience of 3 years in elevator maintenance in a similar role.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with elevator and escalators control systems and software.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CET (Certified Elevator Engineer), are a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
• Extra Skills:
  • UAE Driving license.
  • Experience with various brands of elevators and escalators.

Work Environment:

• Work may involve exposure to confined spaces, heights, and noisy environments.
• Requires physical fitness to lift and carry tools or equipment.
• May require travel to multiple sites or being on-call for emergencies.
