Elevator Technician

An Elevator Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems. They inspect elevator components, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. They may work on hydraulic, traction, or pneumatic elevators in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. They also collaborate with architects, engineers, and building managers to ensure efficient elevator operation.

Responsibilities

• Install and test elevator systems in new constructions.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of elevators and escalators.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning elevator components.
• Update elevator systems with modernization or upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to service calls and resolve elevator-related issues.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and design techniques.
