Electro Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the functionality of electro-mechanical systems within facilities, ensuring smooth operation, optimal performance, and reliability of all equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, with a keen eye for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
   Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electro-mechanical systems such as HVAC, lighting, electrical, plumbing, and other critical systems.
   Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
   Collaborate with external contractors to ensure systems are maintained and repaired according to safety standards.
2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
   Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all electro-mechanical systems to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
   Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all maintenance activities.
3. System Installation & Upgrades:
   Manage the installation of new electro-mechanical systems and equipment in the facility.
   Plan and implement upgrades or replacements for aging equipment to enhance facility performance.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
   Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, work performed, inventory management, and parts procurement.
   Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues, and proposed solutions for management review.
5. Safety & Compliance:
   Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
   Conduct regular safety audits and contribute to a safe working environment for all personnel.
6. Collaboration & Teamwork:
   Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff to resolve complex issues.
   Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and help foster a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

1. Education & Experience:
   Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
   Proven experience (4+ years) in electro-mechanical systems maintenance or a similar role, preferably in the facilities maintenance or construction industry.
2. Technical Skills:
   Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, generators, lighting systems, fire safety systems, plumbing, and automation systems.
   Experience with electrical wiring, PLCs, sensors, and controllers.
   Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
