Electrician Technician

Job Description

The Electrical Technician is responsible for execution of Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance and ensures compliance with all safety & quality norms of the Food Industry.

• Ensure preventive maintenance planning & execution.
• Execute breakdown maintenance.
• Execute condition monitoring maintenance.
• Monitor spare parts requirements & communicate stock status timely.
• Check equipment and operating systems and correct wherever necessary.
• Ensure electrical operations, standards, and controls are maintained at high quality.
• Work effectively in a team and independently.
• Utilize hand tools like power tools and testing equipment frequently.
• Troubleshoot & perform required repair work within defined timelines.
• Execute modifications to improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain quality & safety standards without deviation.
• Assist Supervisors and Managers in identifying workplace hazards.
• Participate in risk assessment of identified hazards.
• Avoid placing themselves or others at risk of harm or ill-health.
• Follow EMIGRAIN adopted risk management procedures when undertaking tasks and projects.
• Follow reasonable directions of Supervisors and Managers regarding safety.
• Report incidents or near misses related to occupational health and safety to supervisors promptly.

• Maintenance effectiveness

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical Diploma OR ITI in Electrical Engineering.

4-5 years of electrical maintenance experience in the Manufacturing Industry, preferably in Bakery/Refrigeration.

Skills Required:

Strong technical skills, mental competence for maintenance work, and the ability to work with systems. Proficiency in operating systems and MS Office Suite is required.

Technical Skills:

• Electrical maintenance of Bakery equipment and Refrigeration.
• Electrical maintenance of conveyors, freezers, compressors, mixers, and packing machines.
• Troubleshooting & replacement of various sensors, solenoids, HMIs, PLCs, control valves, etc.
• Motors & other electrical & electronic terminations.
