Electrician - Auto

Reports to : Workshop Manager / Supervisor

Job Summary :

The Auto Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in vehicles including wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, and lighting systems. The role requires expertise in modern vehicle electronics including sensors, control units, and diagnostic tools.

Key Responsibilities :

• Diagnose electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools.
• Repair and replace faulty wiring, fuses, relays, and other electrical components.
• Install and maintain vehicle security systems, GPS, and entertainment units.
• Test and repair alternators, starters, and battery systems.
• Work with computerized and electronic systems including ABS, ECU, and CAN bus networks.
• Ensure all electrical repairs comply with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Keep records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Stay updated with the latest vehicle electrical technologies.

Requirements :

• Diploma or certification in Auto Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and manuals.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license (preferred).
