Electrician

The Position

To maintain all electrical equipment in good working condition by carrying out necessary repairs & preventive maintenance.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reports to the Engineer Supervisor regarding daily work progress and work order completion.
• Works closely with the Engineer Supervisor and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance programs.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in job departmental procedures and instructions.
• Carries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor.
• Able to read building and electrical drawings.
• Able to fault find and repair electrical controls and systems.
• Excellent understanding of electrical installations and systems within modern buildings, including TV, CCTV, BMS, etc., and switchgear bus bar risers.
• Good practical skills capable of the installation and maintenance of switchgear, conduit, trunking, FP 2000, etc., to a high standard.
• Familiar with planned preventive maintenance and safety programs.
• Flexible and a team player, able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
• Works closely with peers to assist in their job when requested by the Engineer Supervisor.
• Attends all departmental meetings and training classes.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Good basic English.
• Experience and knowledge of modern meeting equipment and setups.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Secondary School Technical College or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of electrical installation or maintenance experience, preferably in industrial and commercial projects, including hotels and hospitals.
