ELECTRICIAN

Minimum Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience as Electrician / Electrical Assembler in Manufacturing Company or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of air conditioning units’ electrical circuits and functioning of components.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.
• Ability to rectify electrical faults.
• Good verbal and written communication in English is an advantage.

Knowledge

• Knowledgeable in practical application of principles, procedures, & techniques in HVAC production of various goods and services.
• Knowledgeable in HVAC tool’s operation, usage, maintenance, and designs.

Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities

• Connect wires to the electrical components including compressor, motors, circuit breaker, transformer, etc.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and / or power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical distribution systems including electric motors, etc.
• Reports for work “on-time”.
• Achieves production targets by performing operation in the given time.
• Wear Protective Preventive Equipment (PPE) in the work area at all times.
• Maintains a high level of safety at all times.
• Maintains clean working environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Performs efficiently and effectively any other tasks to be assigned by the Chargehand / Foreman.
