Electricians are responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various electrical systems within the plant environment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The following are key responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain a wide range of electrical systems within the plant, including wiring, lighting, switches, control panels, and instrumentation. Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and systems to identify issues or potential problems.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts on electrical equipment, including motors, pumps, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose electrical malfunctions or failures by testing circuits, analyzing electrical diagrams, and using diagnostic tools to pinpoint issues accurately. Take appropriate measures to resolve electrical problems promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Safety and Hazard Prevention: Implement measures to prevent electrical hazards by ensuring proper grounding, insulation, and protection against water and corrosion. Adhere to safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Qualifications:

• Certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Electrician in an industrial or plant setting.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and tools used in installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to performing thorough inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and report findings.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks requiring manual labor and work in varying conditions.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety procedures and guidelines.
