Principal Accountabilities/ Key Result Areas:
Site Awareness
• Develop in-depth understanding of the building infrastructure within your area of responsibility
• Familiarize yourself with the critical infrastructure systems including, high and low voltage network, fire alarm, lighting and DB, SMDB.
• Establish to an educated level the layout of all electrical and pumps rooms and secondary distribution points using schematic layouts and site surveys
• Develop a clear understanding of the design and operating principal of all electrical related plant and equipment
• Develop a clear understanding of the client occupational layout and the company details
Workload Planning
• Develop a clear understanding of the Idama QA procedures and processes regarding engineering documentation
Operations
• Perform routine daily weekly monthly and yearly electrical systems maintenance tasks in line with the key account asset register and planner
• Respond in a professional and workman like manner to all electrical and associated system reactive work projects i.e. fault finding and rectification projects
• Implement as requested modifications to the electrical systems to meet the specific requirements of the clients business partners
• Undertake electrical training and testing to achieve an approved authorized switching status
• Report to your team leader on a regular basis regarding workload , quality workmanship and key issues
• Develop a extensive understanding of the methods of work associated with the electrical plant and give advice on enhancing the performance of the equipments
Customer Relations
• Establish a clear understanding of the business partners and their requirements
• Implement Idama’s customer service charter to ensure excellent customer service
• Take ownership and responsibility to rectify all electrical associated works to a level that meets the clients expectations
Qualification
• Diploma in Electrical engineering
Experience
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience within the maintenance services market sector preferably in a hotel environment demonstrating: sound knowledge of electrical engineering systems, workload planning, customer service satisfaction and quality workmanship
