Position - Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment within the facility. This includes power distribution, lighting systems, control panels, and emergency systems. The role ensures all electrical components operate safely and efficiently in accordance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and wiring systems.
2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in lighting systems, sockets, control panels, and motors.
3. Install and replace electrical equipment, lighting fixtures, and wiring as needed.
4. Ensure safe operation and compliance with electrical codes and standards.
5. Monitor and maintain emergency systems such as UPS, generators, and exit lighting.
6. Support energy management initiatives by identifying areas for energy savings.
7. Coordinate with other technical teams for integrated MEP tasks.
8. Record maintenance tasks and updates using CMMS or service logs.
9. Respond promptly to service requests, power outages, or electrical breakdowns.
10. Adhere to all health and safety policies during maintenance and repair work.

Requirements:

1. ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in facility management.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
4. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and wiring schematics.
5. Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety standards.
6. Physically fit, with ability to work in confined spaces or at heights if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Licensed or certified electrician (as per local regulations).
2. Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and backup power systems.
3. Multi-skilled technician (basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing is a plus).
4. Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
