Electrical Technician
Job description
- Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in guest rooms, kitchens, banquet halls, and other hotel facilities.
- Repair or replace defective electrical components such as switches, outlets, motors, and wiring.
Preventive Maintenance :
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety regulations and hotel standards.
- Maintain backup power systems, including generators and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).
Emergency Response :
- Quickly respond to electrical emergencies, power outages, and urgent repair requests.
- Ensure fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other safety systems are operational.
Energy Efficiency & Safety Compliance :
- Monitor and suggest improvements to reduce energy consumption.
- Ensure adherence to local electrical codes and safety guidelines.
- Use proper protective equipment and follow safety protocols.
- Work closely with other maintenance team members, including HVAC, plumbing, and general technicians.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Report any major issues to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
