Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates thorough proficiency in the maintenance of Electrical Power & Control Systems as per Engineering specifications and the Corporation’s operational and maintenance standards (Electrical) or the development, of maintenance of Data Center Power Plant Systems in accordance with Engineering specifications or the Corporation’s operational & maintenance standards (Power Plant).
• Perform hourly routine inspection, collection of site temperature, system load parameters and site conditions.
• Perform CMMS preventive maintenance on Uninterruptable Power Supply systems, DC plant system, Diesel Generator, Sync & LV panels, firefighting system, and Electrical System.
• Respond to emergency calls and technical assistance at customer’s request.
• Supports & implements standard practices in the Region to ensure compliance with prescribed procedures, guidelines & safety standards.
• Informs superior of significant events & work concerns & follows-up accordingly as required.
• Perform normal daily operation and maintenance of power distribution systems including engine-generators, Automatic Switching Transfer Switches between two different power sources, DC Power Plant, UPS system and Batteries.
• Conduct routine power distribution systems readings, temp. and perform circuit readings using ammeter and DVM.
• Maintain inventory of electrical components stock and prepare updated prescribed load list orders for stock replenishment.
• Perform low voltage distribution panel maintenance under energized conditions.
• Assist in performing power distribution system maintenance including IR scanning, and other preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Respond to contingencies to ensure restoration of system operations in the event of a component or system malfunction.
• Trouble-shoot electrical systems and components when faults occur to ensure continuous operations.
• Prepare and update operational and maintenance logs for electrical systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform 24x7 Manning duty as and when required.

Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:

Formal Education Required:

Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a Valid UAE Driver’s License (Manual) is desirable.

Years & Field of Experience required:

3 to 5 years hands-on experience in Operation and Maintenance of Electrical and Power Plant equipment.
