Electrical Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems and equipment within the mattress manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all electrical operations comply with safety regulations and support efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance & Repair:

• Supervise and lead a team of electricians and technicians in maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical components such as motors, control panels, PLCs, wiring, and lighting systems.

Installation & Upgrades:

• Oversee the installation of new electrical equipment and ensure proper wiring and configuration.
• Recommend and implement upgrades to improve efficiency, safety, and compliance.
• Work closely with the engineering team to integrate automation and control systems.

Safety & Compliance:

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical systems to identify potential hazards.
• Train and enforce electrical safety procedures among the maintenance team.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Supervise, train, and mentor electricians and technicians, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule repairs and minimize disruptions.
• Maintain records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Inventory & Budget Management:

• Monitor electrical spare parts and tools inventory, ensuring availability for repairs and maintenance.
• Assist in budget planning and cost control for electrical maintenance and upgrades.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in supervising and leading electrical maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, control panels, motors, and industrial automation.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the mattress or foam manufacturing industry.
• Certification in Electrical Safety or Maintenance Management.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices in industrial settings.
