We have an opportunity with one of our reputed clients in UAE.

Position - Construction Supervisor Flange Management

Location: Dubai UAE.

Role Purpose

Monitors contractor’s performance and ensures that EIT scope and activities are safely and timely carried out in accordance with specifications and regulations in the contract. Identifies and reports deviations from the requirements and specifications, and suggests remedial actions as required during the execution phase.

Accountabilities

1. Be an HSSE ambassador. Ensure that HSSE procedures are adhered to, and proactively strive for good HSSE and quality performance throughout the work.
2. Participate in tool-box meetings and Safety Meetings.
3. Proactively assist Contractor in resolving EIT quality-related technical issues that may arise during the execution of work scopes at the construction site.
4. Liaise with the Construction Field Engineer/s and ensure that the EIT systems and equipment are constructed and installed as per project design and Company requirements.
5. Where required, review and comment on applicable ITP, attend and verify applicable established inspection points on behalf of the Company.
6. Follow up and ensure efficient close out of technical queries related to the EIT discipline.
7. Seek continuous improvement of work processes and products within EIT responsibility area.
8. Liaise with relevant disciplines regarding interdisciplinary interfaces and releases: piping, mechanical, structural, equipment installation, etc.
9. Daily and weekly reporting to QC Lead on ongoing activities.
10. Contribute to Lessons Learned, experience transfer, and Close Out Report.
11. Progressively review relevant documents, reports, and records (specifications, procedures, drawings, requirements, test and inspection results, etc.) and promptly report on noted discrepancies or deviations, working with production teams to resolve the issues related to EIT discipline.
12. Ensure that EIT test equipment is in proper working order and calibration.
13. Ensure that Contractor EIT inspections and surveys are timely conducted at various stages of the construction and erection processes, including incoming materials inspections, and final product inspections. Review, attend and where required, sign off applicable tests and inspections and reports.
14. Where required, carry out and report on assigned surveillance audits on any identified relevant elements related to dimensional control.
15. Participate in Contractor scheduled yard Quality Walks and report any observations, where applicable.
16. Follow up and verify closure of issues (PARs, CARs, NCRs, etc.) and any continuous improvement initiatives in the yard.

Knowledge / Skills Required

Theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of general construction work and activities. Knowledge of applicable project documents, industry procedures and guidelines, recommended practices, standards (i.e. Norsok), and specifications. Proficient in MS Office; experience in the use of PIMS and Navisworks is an advantage. Experience from working in Asia.

Educational/Qualifications

Relevant engineering degree and IECEx certification preferred. Relevant experience from similar positions in other oil & gas projects may compensate for formal education. Minimum 10 years relevant experience from oil and gas projects.
