ELECTRICAL FIELD ENGINEER (EPC)

The Field Engineer Electrical will play a critical role in the successful execution of oil and gas projects by providing technical expertise and support in the field. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and ensure that all work complies with industry standards and project specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and coordinate the installation of electrical systems and equipment on-site.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure proper installation and functionality of electrical components.
• Assist in the commissioning and start-up of electrical systems, ensuring they operate correctly and efficiently.
• Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel, including electricians and subcontractors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during the construction and commissioning phases.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Perform quality control inspections to verify the integrity and performance of electrical installations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure that all electrical work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on electrical engineering progress and issues.
• Assist in the development and review of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site, adhering to all HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of electrical works.
• Ensure that all electrical activities comply with environmental regulations and best practices.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 10 Years of Engineering Experience in oil and gas industry with 5 years in Field engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and installations specific to oil and gas projects.
• Proficiency in using electrical design and analysis software (e.g., Trimble ProDesign).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
