Job Summary
We are seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented Electrical Engineering Director within The UAE maintaining electrical systems within a prestigious and globally renowned property in The UAE.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance/facilities operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency while delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical engineering department, overseeing all design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems in hospitality facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international electrical codes, regulations, and standards within our facilities.
- Develop and manage electrical FM solutions across the entire property, utilising the CAFM system.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and departments to ensure seamless project execution and facility operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams and facility management staff regarding electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Conduct regular inspections, assessments, and audits of electrical systems to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement predictive maintenance programs based on engineering best practices and industry standards.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the engineering team through training and continuous development programs.
Requirements
- Technical certifications or qualifications in Electrical Engineering would be highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within facilities management or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building codes, safety standards, and energy management systems.
- Proven experience in project management within engineering contexts, including budgeting and resource management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and innovative thinking; able to strategize and implement solutions effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
