Electrical Engineering Director – Facilities Management

Job Summary

We are seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented Electrical Engineering Director within The UAE maintaining electrical systems within a prestigious and globally renowned property in The UAE.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance/facilities operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency while delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities:

1. Lead the electrical engineering department, overseeing all design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems in hospitality facilities.
2. Ensure compliance with all local and international electrical codes, regulations, and standards within our facilities.
3. Develop and manage electrical FM solutions across the entire property, utilising the CAFM system.
4. Coordinate with other disciplines and departments to ensure seamless project execution and facility operations.
5. Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams and facility management staff regarding electrical systems and troubleshooting.
6. Conduct regular inspections, assessments, and audits of electrical systems to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure optimal performance.
7. Develop and implement predictive maintenance programs based on engineering best practices and industry standards.
8. Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the engineering team through training and continuous development programs.

Requirements

1. Technical certifications or qualifications in Electrical Engineering would be highly desirable.
2. Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within facilities management or hospitality.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building codes, safety standards, and energy management systems.
4. Proven experience in project management within engineering contexts, including budgeting and resource management.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and innovative thinking; able to strategize and implement solutions effectively.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
