Electrical Engineer – Yachts Experience

Our client from a prestigious VIP private yacht owner, is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join his team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and management of all electrical systems onboard a luxury yacht. This role requires in-depth knowledge of marine electrical systems, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment on yachts, cruise ships, and cargo ships.
2. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
3. Collaborate with naval architects, marine engineers, and other technical staff to develop and implement electrical system designs and modifications.
4. Oversee the installation and testing of electrical equipment, including generators, propulsion systems, and navigation systems.
5. Develop and maintain documentation related to electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance logs.
6. Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations and industry standards.
7. Provide technical support and training to crew members and other personnel as needed.
8. Manage and coordinate with external vendors and contractors for electrical system upgrades and repairs.
