Electrical Engineer MEP

The Electrical Engineer (MEP) is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
Design & Engineering:

• Design and develop power distribution, lighting, ELV, and fire alarm systems.
  
• Prepare electrical shop drawings, load calculations, and technical submittals.
  
• Conduct voltage drop calculations, short circuit analysis, and power factor correction.
  
• Review and approve electrical designs, BOQs, and specifications.
  

• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and structural engineers for project execution.
  
• Supervise the installation of cabling, panels, transformers, generators, and UPS systems.
  
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth implementation.
  

• Ensure adherence to UAE electrical codes, DEWA regulations, and international standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.).
  
• Maintain documentation for design approvals, permits, and regulatory compliance.
  
• Assist in tender preparation, budgeting, and contract evaluation.
  

• Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
  
• Troubleshoot power quality issues and system failures.
  
• Implement energy-efficient solutions for sustainable power usage.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  
• 4-8 years of experience in MEP electrical design and project execution.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, ETAP, and other electrical design software.
  
• Knowledge of power distribution, ELV, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  
• Familiarity with UAE electrical regulations (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, etc.).
  
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
