About the Role

An Electrical Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems across the airline's various facilities. These can include office buildings, hangars, maintenance areas, airports, and other infrastructure used by the airline. The position focuses on maintaining electrical systems to support both daily operations and long-term reliability of the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Inspections: Regularly inspect and assess the condition of electrical systems across facilities, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency power systems (such as generators and UPS units).
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure the electrical systems are operating at peak efficiency and avoid unexpected breakdowns.
• Repairs and Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve electrical faults, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted operations.
• System Installations: Oversee the installation of new electrical systems, including lighting, power outlets, and backup power solutions, in newly constructed or renovated facilities.
• Upgrades and Modifications: Plan and execute electrical system upgrades or modifications, including integrating new technologies, improving capacity, and meeting changing operational demands.
• Coordination with Contractors: Work with external contractors to ensure that electrical installations meet the required specifications and safety standards.
• Quick Response to Failures: In case of electrical failures, quickly diagnose the problem, identify the root cause, and take corrective action to restore power and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Diagnostics: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to perform tests on electrical circuits, control panels, distribution systems, and components to detect potential issues before they cause system failures.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed on electrical systems.
• Emergency Response and Support: Provide support during emergencies to restore electrical systems and ensure safety.

What We're Looking for?

• Experience Levels – 3+ years
• Electrical infrastructure knowledge, working in lounges (customer-facing facilities), call center & data centers is preferable.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing) is a plus.
• Knowledge of wooden finishes and civil works is advantageous.
• Experience in preparing the SOW & SLAs.
• Familiarity with the CAFAM system.
• Ability to review MEP drawings and calculate electrical load & heat load requirements, prepare a technical evaluation, etc.
• Contractor knowledge in the facilities field.
• Able to travel outside UAE.
• Valid UAE driving license (preferable).
