We are looking for an Electrical Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6 months - extendable based on project requirement
Qualification and Experience Required:
Candidate must have Electrical design & engineering experience of at least 10 - 12 years.
4 to 5 complete Project Life Cycles as EPC/EPCM in green field/brown field and Revamp type of projects.
Knowledge of all aspects of complex refinery, fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas projects.
Candidate shall have a strong understanding of all Project Specifications, drawings, documents, and data sheets to be generated and reviewed for typical refinery/Fertilizer/Chemical/Petrochemical projects.
Competency in providing cost-effective, value-adding suggestions for EPC projects, with exposure to FEED, Detail Engineering, and Pre-bid activities.
Strong technical skills with knowledge of good engineering practices in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control System & Automation in the Plant.
Lead Electrical Engineering activities and deliverables for the project, ensuring timely completion to the required quality standards.
Execute technical work for FEED/DD within designated Cost Time & Resource (CTR) scopes.
Develop concept and feasibility studies for new and modification of existing facilities.
Detailed understanding of electrical systems design development including Cable Scheduling, Lighting Design, Earthing Systems, Hazardous Area Classification, and Electrical Bulk Material Take-off.
Development and checking of common electrical design drawings and deliverables including Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Schematic/Connection Diagrams, General Electrical Equipment Layouts, and Bulk material requisitions.
Provide technical assistance to SCM team for vetting technical offers from vendors and cost optimisation through Value Engineering.
Knowledge of Local Statutory compliance related to process plants and strong understanding of plant safety.
Familiarity with international codes, standards, and recommended practices like ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NEC, NEMA, UL, and Aramco standards.
Strong understanding of inputs and interfaces with various disciplines such as Process, Electrical & Instrumentation, Civil & Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and Project management.
Application of industry-standard CAD systems for the production of 2-D electrical drawings and 3-D modelling systems.
Site exposure with electrical interface with existing systems and modification expertise in running plant switchgears/transformers/LT systems.
Ability to gauge and prepare Electrical work volumes and Execution methodology for Revamp projects.
