Electrical Draftsman

The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Draftsman to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical drawings and schematics that meet industry standards and client specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of various MEP projects in the region, ensuring that all electrical components are properly documented and coordinated with other trades.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate and detailed electrical system design drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
2. Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to understand project requirements and specifications.
3. Review and revise drawings based on engineering input and client feedback to ensure compliance with industry standards.
4. Maintain an organized archive of drawings and revisions for reference and project management purposes.
5. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility and integration of electrical systems with mechanical and plumbing designs.
6. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, specifications, and technical details.
7. Conduct site visits to gather information and verify as-built conditions as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as an Electrical Draftsman within the MEP sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Revit or 3D modeling software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
