We are now looking for a Designer, Electrical to execute projects and support bids in Navi Mumbai - India.

Reports To

The Electrical Designer reports to the Department Manager or assigned Project Manager.

Job Overview

The Designer is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.

In your role, you will lead and execute multiple projects (local and international) with the Designers Team. You will also be responsible for preparing electrical engineering documents and drawings as required for the project and assigned by the Discipline Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

The ideal candidate will support the team on process industry-based project design work for smooth execution.

• Assist Engineers / Design Manager / Discipline Manager for the engineering design of the project.
• Ensure verification of source data, site visit, concept drawings / concepts as required.
• Prepare and finalize the engineering document deliverable register (EDDR) in coordination with all relevant departments/disciplines, submission date as per Client / Contract requirements.
• Preparation of all Electrical related design deliverables through MS-office, Smart plant tools (SP3D, SPEL), AUTOCAD, NAVIS, Micro-station, PDS, PDMS, Aveva E3D, etc.
• Review design documents, drawings, etc. issued by various disciplines, design subcontractors and ensure Client requirements.
• Conduct review meetings (3D modelling, plot plan review, Constructability study).
• Proficiency in DiaLux and Cable Sizing software.
• Ensure approval of all submitted documents and drawings and necessary coordination with the Client.
• Overall responsible for inter-discipline coordination, submission of necessary design documents/deliverables and procedures to the Client.
• Preparation of Material Take Off.
• Ensure compliance with Laws and Statutory Regulations, Authority, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Requirements for the project.
• Resolve unclear issues with the Client through technical queries in coordination with inter-discipline leads, managers.
• Coordinate for the preparation of as-built documentation.

The ideal candidate will have to work on the following IAE tools to perform designing and drafting activities for Design, Execution, and As-built:

• Smart Plant 3D (E& I Cable Trays & instrument Modeling, extraction of drawings) – Expertise is mandatory.
• Smart Plant Instrumentation User (added value).
• SPR (Smart Plant Review).
• Smart Sketch.
• PDS (E& I Cable Trays & Equipment Modeling) – Expertise is mandatory.
• Microstation.
• AutoCAD (Smart working / Macros) – Expertise is mandatory.
• NavisWorks.
• DIALux – (Lighting Calculations).
• Microsoft Office (Fast working / Macros / formatting) – Expertise is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Engineering Graduate (BSc. or Diploma).
• Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience as Designer in O&G field.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Strong Knowledge of Field electrical.
• Expertise in PDS, MicroStation ‘J’ & AutoCAD.
• ADNOC experience will be an added advantage.
• Must have worked in FEED and EPC projects and delivered to ADNOC Onshore.
• Working experience with reputed Engineering Consultant(s) is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
• Team player, smart-worker, problem solver and a can-do attitude.
• Fluent in English language, Arabic speaking is an added value.
