Job Description
Wood is presently looking to hire an Electrical Designer to be based in Abu Dhabi. Below are more details about the position.
Responsibilities- Ensures quality in design, technical accuracy in the preparation of drawings, material quantities, etc. including reviewing others work at more senior levels.
- Plans assigned work effectively and obtains/provides information liaising with the project team and line manager, in time to control man-hours and achieve targets.
- Carries out site visits/surveys and provides inputs to site visit reports.
- Assists the designers with the preparation of electrical drawings.
- Provides electrical engineering support to the other engineering disciplines.
- Attends discipline specific and general training courses where required.
- Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management.
- Coordinates within members of discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team as well as with Clients, third parties, vendors, etc.
Qualifications- Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Technically oriented, mechanically inclined, good at mathematics and talented at translating intangible concepts into hands-on project plans.
- Competent user of CAD software.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Electrical engineering design and analysis.
- Experience in FEED, Brownfield Engineering.
- PDS, PDMS, SP3D 3D Modelling or 2D Drafting.
- Basic Knowledge on SPEL.
- In-depth knowledge of design tools AutoCAD and MicroStation.
