Develop electrical designs for high-rise buildings, including power distribution, lighting, ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems, grounding, and emergency systems.
Perform detailed electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit calculations using specialized software.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure designs comply with DEWA, ADDC, and other UAE authority regulations, as well as international standards like IEC, IEEE, and NEC.
Prepare and submit design documentation to local authorities for approvals and implement feedback as required.
Technical Drawings and Specifications:
Prepare detailed technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software.
Create technical specifications, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and cost estimates for electrical systems.
System Integration:
Coordinate electrical systems with other building services, including HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and BMS (Building Management Systems).
Ensure seamless integration of renewable energy sources, such as solar PV systems, if applicable.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Certification in energy management or project management is an advantage (e.g., PMP, LEED).
5+ years of experience in electrical design, with at least 3 years focused on high-rise building projects in the UAE.
Proven track record of obtaining DEWA or ADDC design approvals for complex projects.
Proficiency in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, ETAP, or equivalent software.
In-depth knowledge of UAE authority requirements, NFPA 70 (NEC), and IEC standards.
Strong understanding of renewable energy systems and energy-efficient building practices.
